Alexander Wang is an associate with Covington’s Beijing office and specializes in antitrust/competition law (especially the intersection of antitrust and intellectual property), government affairs and regulatory matters, particularly in the technology and telecommunications sectors. Mr. Wang is experienced in advising clients in a broad array of regulatory matters in connection with antitrust/competition, trade, and national security laws.

A former official with the Anti-Monopoly Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) and the Anti-Monopoly Commission of China’s State Council, Mr. Wang has a deep and unique understanding of the way Chinese government mechanisms operate, and maintained sound working relationships with major Chinese regulatory authorities.
